Under the patronage of the President of the University of Al-ameed, Prof. Dr. Muayyad Al-Ghazali, the College of Nursing at the university organized this morning, Monday (12/7/2021), a training workshop on the necessary and correct practical steps for health damage in the laboratory, which was presented by the Chemical and Biological Materials Destruction Committee, consisting of M. M. Hussein Al-Bahrani and M.S. Biologist Asma Faisal, as well as the head of the Occupational Health and Safety Division, M.D. Doaa Karim Abbas, which was held in the Microbiology Laboratory of the College of Nursing at the university.
The practical workshop included a practical application of correct and healthy methods to destroy biological materials that result from the use of educational laboratories and materials used by students and professors in their training, including (medical syringes, laboratory materials, damaged culture media, and all human waste that are used as samples), to provide a safe healthy environment for all workers in those laboratories.
